TVRA receives Christmas Present The family of the late Bud Jenkins W7WX, who had passed away on Nov. 13, 2008, donated all of Bud's radio equipment to the TVRA. They had heard the rumor that we had missed our revenue from the Thanksgiving safety project at the rest area because of the remodeling project there. Club members Ben Cook W7MHR, Harvey Easton K7UQ, and Ron Morell KA7U have been busy cleaning, pricing and selling this surplus equipment on E-Bay. It was reported at the February club meeting that so far the proceeds of the sale have exceded $2000.00. Ben reported that there was still a lot of gear left and will be prepared for auction as soon as it can be readied for sale. A great big Thanks to Ben, Harvey and Ron for their dedication to our club and for their hard work. Plus a Huge Thank You to the family of the late Bud Jenkins. |
